Hey y'all!
It's heating up out there!
Summer's definitely, arrived - it's been hot everywhere we've been - except Twin Falls, Idaho, where we actually thought we might get frost bite in June! But praise the Lord for the summer season, and what the changing of seasons can teach us about God's way of doing things. One of the things I've learned in walking with the Lord is something I often have to remind myself of - timing is everything. The entire third chapter of Ecclesiastes is dedicated to that very thing, that "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." And although I've spent a little time studying it out, I can't find any scripture that says the kingdom runs on "Candice Time." As always, this, timing thing is left to God. And while we know that His timing Is perfect, it's often frustrating for us to operate on His schedule. Many times we want to speed things up for selfish reasons. But sometimes we're desiring to see results for kingdom-minded plans - when we've been praying for someone's salvation, for the manifestation of healing that we know is coming, or for restoration of a broken relationship. It's hard to be patient when what we're praying for is something we know that God wants too! For the past three months we've, been praying about the sale of our home an we know that our reasons for relocating are entirely Scriptural and inline with the call God has placed on our lives. So why hasn't our place sold?? Timing. God is working out the details from every angle - angles we can't even see yet - so that it all fits into His perfect plan. I love what Paul writes in Galatians 6:9 - "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." And verse 7 of the beautiful Psalm 37 says, "Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him' " In my Study Bible, Oral Roberts gives advice on what to do during the growing time of our "seeds of faith": 1) Refuse
to become discouraged; 2) Determine to keep our faith alive and active; 3) Give and keep on giving; love and keep on loving. He also says we should "continue in an attitude of expectancy."
So - continue on - and if what you're believing for lines up with God's Word, continue to expect that He'll deliver - in His time.
Love Candice
