Who's is it anyway?

Hey y'all! Greetings from the Myers' place! It's been a beautiful Spring day - one of those days I'm ever-so thankful that I live in east Texas! Speaking of that - for those of you who haven't heard - we've officially taken our place off of the market. Back in the Fall, we began to sense a certain degree of "release" and an increased desire to stay where we were. At the same time, one after another after another of our Christian friends, and some we barely knew, would make the same comment - "Do you think maybe this was some kind of Abraham/Isaac thing? Maybe God just wanted to see if you were willing to part with something precious to you." So we prayerfully made the decision to finish out our contract with the realtor and let God sell it in the meantime if He wanted to. Otherwise, we'd take it off the market and begin to "live" here again. Sure enough, the months passed without so much as a single looker. I do believe it was an "Abraham/Isaac thing", but I feel sure that God already knew that we were willing to let it go. I think He wanted us to see that we were willing. I believe much of the entire situation was to give us a glimpse of our own hearts. God knows the paths we'll take because He knows us - better than we know ourselves. Jeremiah 1:5 says - "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you..." and 2 Timothy 2:19 says "Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: The Lord knows those who are His..." Because we've been "re-blessed" with our place, we're loving and enjoying it even more, having a better understanding of it as a gift - a tool that God is allowing us to use. Rope's been taking some time off from rodeo and we've been working on all those projects that we'd put on hold - finishing the arena (Rope's favorite), landscaping (my favorite) and getting the pastures in shape (nobody's favorite). It's all hard work but we're having a blast getting it done - one thing at a time and as unto the Lord. After all - it's His place!

Love,
Candice

Please pray for ...
